Like The Honda CBX1000? Then Pipe Dreams May Be Your Next Favorite Documentary

Over their life, some people fall in love with a particular motorcycle and for Australian Kain Baigent, that particular love is for the Honda CBX1000. In fact, Kain’s passion for the bike is so strong that he’s amassed four years of footage of the bike in historic racing competitions and of other motorcycle riders recalling their stories of the bike, plus some input from Isle of Man TT winner, Cameron Donald.

The Honda CBX1000 first came out in 1978 and featured an inline six cylinder engine and was the first production bike to crack the 100 horsepower mark. While it may appear unremarkable today, it’s widely regarded as one of the top superbikes produced. Its engine was one of the first two employ four valves per cylinder and in addition to its power, it was regarded as having excellent handling and contemporary looks.

Pipe Dreams is now at a stage where Kain needs outside funding to finish post production of the project. This includes assistance to employ a professional editor, professional sound-mixer and employ a music producer to design the soundtrack. Funds are also needed to assist with the distribution costs and to get the film distributed via video on demand platforms and DVD.
